is the result of vh1’s hit series StripSearch, in
which Thunder From Down Under creator Billy Cross and vh1’s Rachel
Perry scoured the country for undiscovered men working regular day jobs
who just happened to be gorgeous and dance-teachable, to the
delight of frenzied women everywhere. From 15 contenders, the perfect
gene pool was narrowed to 7 finalists. And these 7 handsome hunks now
spend their evenings shaking what God gave them as the newest, hottest
male revue strippers. But the fun doesn’t stop there. American Storm is
no typical, almost naked, gyrating-to-pop-music peep show. American
Storm understands the way women think, and brings it on in a
never-before-offered twist—a series of history vignettes that take women
on a quasi-historical trip through time, beginning with the expected
Wild West cowboys, through the gangster era and into the free love 60s,
catering unashamedly to a woman’s natural affinity for sexual fantasy.
But as well as this show can crawl into the private thoughts of the
female audience, it also knows how to ramp up the heat, mixing solo
performances with lots of crowd interaction. Dancers roam the audience,
going into the far reaches of the room to pull lucky female fans onto
the stage for a bit of dirty dancing and a close up view of the
beautiful male cast. It’s a veritable bachelorette party for you and
several hundred of your closest friends, as the guys give it all they’ve
got, set against a soundscape of today’s modern music that bumps and
grinds against your senses.
In a final testament to the American spirit, American Storm closes with
a military salute, clinching perhaps the biggest woman’s fantasy
straight out of Officer and a Gentleman, the man in uniform. Who knew
stripping for your country could be so rewarding?
Don’t miss American Storm, now showing at the intimate V Theatre inside
Planet Hollywood. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
