April showers much more than rain down on the Las Vegas strip this
month! The air is warm and breezy, the sun is shining and snow
disappears from the mountain tops. April is the unofficial start to
the summer season in Las Vegas and this summer is going to be all
about kicking off 2010
pool season! The newest adults only daylife pool to open is
Liquid at Aria in
Citycenter. World famous Dutch DJ Tiesto will be thumping out
the beats for the grand opening party on
Thursday, April 8th that will surely have people crawling to bed
as soon as the sun sets, exhausted and exhilarated from dancing and
drinking poolside during the sunshine hours. Tiesto kicks off his
North American summer tour inside Aria Easter weekend at
Haze on
Saturday, April 3rd and travels around the west coast with stops at
Cochella and South Padre Island before heading over seas. Las Vegas
is lucky enough to have Tiesto take to his turn tables twice in one
week, do not miss this stop! Speaking of world famous DJs, England's
Paul Oakenfold graces the stage at his self titled Perfecto show at
Rain in
the Palms
on Saturday April 17th. He is accompanied by Italian electronic
music master Mauro Picotto and Las Vegas resident DJ Jordan Stevens.
Since
opening in 2008, the Perfecto show has become a staple on the Las
Vegas nightlife scene and to date there is nothing else like it. An
electrifying mix of expertly mashed play lists, performers and light
spectaculars, anyone who is a fan will not want to miss the creator
Paul Oakenfold come home to his element. If DJs aren’t really your
thing, live musical performances are also abundant in April, as
Pure
brings in German europop/dance trio Cascada to the stage. Lead
singer Natalie Harler and
producers/DJs Manian and Yanou will
entertain the crowd at
Pure on
Saturday April 17th with the group’s mega hits “Evacuate the Dance
Floor”, “Every Time We Touch”, and “What Hurts the Most”. If you
have fully recovered from all this April nightlife entertainment by
Saturday the 24th, cut through the lines with VIP entry to
LAX where
Ice-T and Coco are hosting the night. Don’t worry about not being
able to spot the couple in the crowd, these two have made a living
together by standing out! After segueing out of the gangsta rap
scene, Ice-T made quite a name for himself on television as a
detective on Law and Order SVU. His wife and muse, Coco, is perhaps
best know for her elegantly exaggerated assets, both front and back,
and is a red carpet favorite for the ensembles she manages to put
on. This being Las Vegas,
LAX and
Coco, attendance to this party would be worth it just to see what
Coco wears!
