October is known for cool weather, falling leaves and ghost stories, but October in Las Vegas is nothing to fear unless you're scared having a great time!
The Palms Pool at the Palms Hotel and Casino starts the month off on Friday the 2nd when Miller Lite presents Ditch Fridays where they'll crown the new Ms. Las Vegas for 2009. That night check out rocker Joel Madden from Good Charlotte as he drops the mic and picks up the turntables to DJ at Prive. On Saturday the 3rd, Prive brings in famous DJ Brent Bolthouse to guest spin. At Rain Nightclub super DJ Paul Oakenfold presents his night of outstanding dance music from Perfecto, that and every Saturday night in October. Also, at the Hard Rock Hotel heiress Paris Hilton hosts the party inside Body English. Electro-dance music producer ATB will be DJing at Moon for the promotional tour of his Future Memories album on Sunday the 4th. Hip hoppers need not fear for the rap legend Biz Markie will be performing at Pure on Tuesday the 6th. Saturday the 10th, reality star and budding actress Kristin Cavallari will be starring as the host at LAX. If hot girls, wild hair and vampires frighten you, stay clear of the Palms Hotel on Sunday the 11th as Moon hosts the bloodsuckers themed Hair Wars 5 "A Vampire's Seduction", a showcase of the hottest hair styles from around the country. There, sexy models will be strutting their stuff and showing off their custom do's. 
 
 

Teammates Kobe Bryant and Lamar Odom of the NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers will host on Wednesday the 14th at LAX.
Friday the 16th, Prive showcases the world renowned DJ Konflict busting up the turntables. Saturday the 17th, Pure will be sporting the musical styling's of Jamaican native Sean Kingston as he performs some of his hits and tracks from his new album "Tomorrow". The same night the DJ duo from Chicago Flosstradamus spin eclectic mashup of electro, house, and sleazy hip hop R&B at LAX.
