Studio 54, located
in the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, is the sort of club that reminds
you why Las Vegas is in a league of its own when it comes to
nightlife.
Spread out over 22,000 square feet, this colossal dance club draws in
a young crowd looking for a night to remember. Since Studio 54 opened
its doors in Las Vegas in 1997, A-list celebrities including Lindsay
Lohan, Colin Farrell, and Paris Hilton have been spotted partying at
this trendy spot.
With all that space, Studio 54 is sure to have something to satisfy
everyone. Techno, house and Top 40 music keep the dance floors packed,
and there are four bars serving up beer and cocktails.
For those looking to show off their moves, there are elevated dance
platforms and big-screen TVs displaying the action from all around the
club.
For a bird's eye view of the dance floor and DJ booth (or to take a
peek if there are any celebrities in the building!) head up to Studio
54's second level. This is where you'll find the new VIP area and
posh semi-private lounges. Tables are available by reservation and
bottle service is also available.
But Studio 54's most memorable element has got to be the spectacular
entertainment. Wall-walkers and go-go dancers keep the energy high,
and acrobatic performers on trapezes and swings descending from the
club's ceiling will make your jaw drop with amazement! For the
enjoyment of the female audience, there are some very hot male
dancers. Smoke machines and hazers help set the party vibe, and
spontaneous confetti cannons and balloon drops will keep drowsy
clubbers alert.
The original Studio 54 was a legendary New York night club that served
as the epicenter of the 70's party scene, and Studio 54 Las Vegas is a
modern reincarnation. Vintage black and white photographs of
celebrities at the original location decorate the walls, and the DJ
occasionally throws a nostalgic disco classic into the mix of music.
Some artifacts of the former disco culture can still be spotted – even
a mirrored disco ball! Who says history has to be boring?
Studio 54's dress
code is more casual than many other Vegas spots. Remember to “dress
funky, not junky” - baggy jeans, shorts, t-shirts, tennis shoes, and
flip-flop sandals are discouraged.
