Las Vegas trip plans
Interested in an affordable 2+ bedroom suite for a few nights in July. I’m thinking grabbing a basic room on Wednesday / Thursday then move to the Suite for Friday/Saturday for a central gathering place for reunion type gathering of 10-20 people. They would need rooms in the hotel as well. Would love a bowling alley in the room or a room used in well known movie or something along those lines. Any thoughts?

If you could provide me with a budget it would be of great help, as you mention affordable and then bowling alley in the same request. Those two things are complete opposites, however, since it is Vegas, it is actually possible to have a bowling alley in your suite. Dates matter, weekends are a lot more expensive, and higher end suites often times are on reserve for VIP guests of the hotel. I usually book large suites for my wife and I, and for this reason we book them on the weekdays. However, for a party, I agree, a weekend is preferable. Since you are looking at July, you might want to consider July 4. The fireworks are amazing.
Here are the hotels that feature en-suite bowling alleys:
Hard Rock Hotel – Real World Penthouse. This is a 3 Bedroom suite that generally runs around $8,000 a night and up.
Palms- King Pin Suite – This suite is also 3 Bedroom and is usually priced around $15,000 a night.
If you are looking for something that has been on a TV show/Movie, not including the Hard Rock suite, here are a few options. Note, many of the suites you see on the screen are sets and are not real. If you have a favorite movie or TV show suite, let me know and I’ll find you the real one it was based on if it wasn’t a real life suite.
Palms: Real World Suite and 2 Story Sky Villa. The later was on many shows.
Caesars Palace- Emperor Suite
Encore – Duplex Apartment
Mirage – Lanai/Villa. Note I have the Villa booked for myself this June. Beautiful 2 or 3 Bedroom villas with their own backyard and private pool and putting green.
If you are just looking for something that isn’t 4 figures a night or more, I would highly recommend the MGM Grand Skyline Terrace Suite, which start around $600 a night. These are 1 Bedroom two story suites with 800 sq/ft terraces. Almost booked one for myself for the 4th of July. MGM also features Skylofts. The 2 Bedroom Skyloft features 2 stories, a butler, a pool table or fooseball table, and amazing showers and tubs. I’ve stayed in the 1 Bedroom version many times.
Cosmopolitan has some cool suites, my friends hosted a bachelor party in a Wrap Around Terrace Suite that was about 20 people. You can get a Terrace Studio as a connecting room. There are also Penthouses that start around $1,000 a night, or Lanai Suites that are 1 Bedroom but feature a drop down projector TV and an outdoor area with private hot tub.
Let me know if you have any questions, need anything else.
