You may be able to find relatively affordable hotel rooms, but it can be tricky to find cheap show tickets.
For the past several years Vegas shows have been going up in price by a few dollars each year. Luckily, there are some hit shows that that haven’t made the ticket price leap this year, including hits like Jersey Boys, several Cirque du Soleil shows, David Copperfield, and Donny & Marie. But that doesn’t mean these shows are inexpensive. Being entertained is the key reason for coming to Vegas, so luckily we have a few tips and tricks to help you avoid paying full price for your Vegas entertainment.

Tix4Tonight: If you aren’t picky about the show you see check out these guys. You’ll see 10 of these booths along the Strip advertising for tickets discounted 30%–50%. You can visit their website for a listing of shows selling each day. Just be aware that you will need to be flexible with this option. They may not have your top show or the exact seats you want. A service fee will be added.
Don’t rely on the venue: In the past, the show venue was a great place to look. And you can still find occasional deals, but typically you are going to look at heavy convenience fees and undiscounted tickets. Instead of looking at the venue, check out the main homepage for the actual event. For example, Cirque du Soleil’s website will usually list deals on their shows on a single page, advertising different discounts on each show by location.
Book a package: Before selecting your hotel, figure out what show you want to see. Most hotels hosting headliner shows will offer a room and show package. For example, The Paris offers a Jersey Boys package that includes two mezzanine tickets with one+ nights of accommodation. Make sure to read the fine print on all packages; you may need to contact the box office immediately after booking to secure your seats.
