Rio de Janeiro’s monstrous festival is coming to the Strip for two weekends in May. The first weekend will be rock oriented while the second weekend will be mostly pop. The lineup includes No Doubt, Metallica and Linkin Park for the Rock weekend, while the Pop weekend will have Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and more. Besides rock and pop, there will be a stage dedicated to EDM, and rides such as a zip line and a Ferris wheel.
Audience and Venue
Given that the festival will feature not only Rock, but also pop and EDM, it will attract a huge audience from all ages. City of Rock is being purposely built for this event by MGM Resorts and Cirque Du Soleil. The amusement park-inspired layout will feature five stages, rides, shopping, and themed food courts.
