Whether you are traveling to Las Vegas for March Madness, the Big Game or any major sporting event, you are going to want to stay at a hotel with not only great rooms and suites, but one that has an excellent sportsbook. Below are our top Vegas suites with great sportsbooks!
Palms (above)-
Here is the only place in Vegas where you can not only watch and bet on your team, but also play a quick game in the comfort of your own room at the same time. We are of course referring to the monstrous Hardwood Suite in the Palms Fantasy Tower (above). Clocking in at 10,000 sq/ft this sweet suite boasts the only en-suite Basketball court (half-court actually) in Las Vegas. You also have a private locker room, lounge/dance area, billiards room, and humongous wet bar. This suite features 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, and 3 XL Murphy beds that fold up into the walls of the basketball court. The cost to live like a king or at least a world class NBA player is $25,000 for the night. Bring your own team of 10, which is the overnight capacity of the room, and that is only $2500 per person for what will be one of the most memorable nights of your lives. Better, of course if your team wins.
Having out of this world suites does not alone earn Palms a place on this list. Remember this is a list of the best sportsbooks. Palms earns this distinction as they have an amazing book that was recently renovated in 2012. Clocking in at 10,000 sq/ft it features almost 1,300 sq/ft of TV’s, comfy leather furniture, and a hybrid design that allows for a few poker tables within the sportsbook, including a VIP area. Also worth mentioning, the Palms is noted for its fun, energetic atmosphere, beautiful guests, and great bars and clubs, so there will always be something exciting going on here, whether it is on TV or on the dance floor.
Mirage-
The Mirage, despite being built in the late 80’s is no Golden Girl, even though she is golden. Unlike many older Vegas properties Mirage is a modern, vibrant place to stay, and a great testament to the vision of former owner Steve Wynn.
The sportsbook at Mirage has been recently renovated and features 85 feet, yes feet of 4K Ultra HD projection screens, very comfortable seating, and an ideal location within the hotel next to California Pizza Kitchen, and the Sports Bar. Since this is an M-Life property, all the money you spend here or at any MGM Resort owned property is converted into tier credits which at certain points mean VIP check in privileges, line passes, or other cool perks.
If you are in town for March Madness or really any event and want to live it up, look into booking one of the exclusive Villas at Mirage. You can choose between a 1,2 or 3 bedroom Lanai which features a backyard and small pool and a tropical theme, or one of the Villas, available In 2 or 3 bedroom configurations which add on an outdoor Jacuzzi, putting green, and outdoor seating areas. A Lanai or Villa reservation means you can call on a 24 hour butler, have access to a private valet area and the Mirage VIP lounge with free water, coffee, and beer.
Unless you are Nick Papageorgio, Lanais start at $1,000 per night and Villas at $2,250 on off peak days. Reserve these early as there are only a few Lanais and Villas and many of them are given to high rollers as comps, especially during major events.
Venetian-
The sportsbook here is known for its friendly service, free drinks, elegant décor, and great screens. Whether you are watching the game on one of the 3 big screens or one of the smaller additional monitors you eyes are in for a treat. The sportsbook here also features a separate area for horse betting, just in case you would rather play the ponies than bet on basketball. Coupled with the fact that The Venetian has practically every type of cuisine, in every price range you could ever want under one roof and you have yourself a great place to root for your team.
The Venetian is an all suite property. From the cheapest suite to the opulent Chairman Suite, no matter what you choose for your stay you cannot go wrong. The smallest suites, which have been undergoing renovation since last summer, are approximately 650 sq/ft and feature new, larger TVs, updated décor, and brighter lighting. If you and your friends want a little extra room, and want to watch a quarter or two from the comfort of your own room, choose the Renaissance Suite. This 1980 sq/ft suite features a living and dining room, and the option of a media room or exercise room.
Red Rock Resort-
Coming to Las Vegas does not mean you have to confine yourself to The Strip. In fact many Vegas visitors prefer the off-Strip casinos as they are smaller and more intimate, offer better odds, and great rates. Red Rock is currently one of the finest choices as it blends Strip level luxury, with that local casino vibe. Their sports and race book is highly regarded for its design, great drink specials, 24 hour operations, and sports bar. Another perk is that Red Rock Resort features “Sports Connection”, an online betting system whereby you can place sports bets from any location within Nevada quickly and accurately without needing to be on premises.
From deluxe guest rooms, to large suites and villas, Red Rock has every budget covered. If you really want to stay with your friends in style though, go for the 180 Suite. This suite features 7,500 sq/ft of modern style with views of both The Strip and Red Rock Canyon. Entertain on your enormous patio with Jacuzzi and bar, or stay inside and watch the game in front of a massive 108 inch HD plasma TV. Literally the only thing that could possibly be better is being at the game itself, of course then you wouldn’t have comfy sofas, a wet bar, and butler service. Taking a break? Play a game of pool on your very own table, or just relax in front of the fireplace or in one of the two posh bedrooms.
March Madness in Vegas is a big deal. Rooms will be more expensive than usual, suites will sell out quickly, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a good time. The action never stops, even when the game does. From great food and yard long drinks, to exotic clubs and bars, to the hottest music on the planet, there is no day or nightlife destination quite like Las Vegas. Don’t try and beat the buzzer with a last minute booking. Plan and book your March Madness vacation now! Of course, Let Lavish Vegas be your guide!
