Las Vegas’ 2018 pool season is about to heat up. Forget the beach. Find your DJ.
With resort companies struggling to sell blackjack to the youth market, Las Vegas has become one of the hottest club destinations in the world. First came the hip-hop-oriented nightclubs, then the DJs. Now, the DJs have started waking up early. Revelers have found a new way to start the EDM-soundtracked parties well before sunset.
The Las Vegas pool season usually runs May through October. Schedules at each venue vary, but much like Vegas nightlife—it’s all about Friday and Saturday. The most popular weekends are holidays like Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day.
Insider’s tip: The more popular beach-themed dayclubs during the summer feature pool parties at night. Check out Daylight at Mandalay Bay or Encore Beach Club. Others like Drai’s and Marquee also have night entertainment, but pool areas are usually closed.
WET REPUBLIC
Location: MGM Grand – Center-south Strip
Opening: March 11th (Soft) – April 11th (Grand)
Perhaps the most exciting dayclub in the world and one of the craziest, Wet Republic gives you a lineup that cannot be missed: Above & Beyond, Afrojack, Armin Van Buuren, Calvin Harris, DVBBS, Hardwell, Martin Garrix, Nicky Romero, Showtek, Steve Aoki, Tiesto and many more.
ENCORE BEACH CLUB
Location: Encore – North Strip
Opening: March 6th (Soft) – April 3rd (Grand)
Maintaining its reputation as one of the hottest and most elegant dayclubs, EBC is bringing some of the best in the business: Avicii, David Guetta, Diplo, Kaskade, Zedd, among others.
DAYLIGHT
Location: Mandalay Bay – South Strip
Opening: TBA
One of the most popular dayclubs during the pool season, Daylight offers a strong lineup of renowned DJs: Alesso, Axwell, Dannic, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Dyro, Sebastian Ingrosso, among others.
FOXTAIL POOL CLUB
Location: SLS – North Strip
Opening: March 12th (Soft) – April 25th (Grand)
One of the newest venues to arrive this 2015, Foxtail Pool Club promises to be a serious contender in the dayclub wars this season with headliners such as: 3Lau, Borgore, Fedde Le Grand, Gareth Emery, R3hab, Steve Angello and more.
DRAI’S BEACH CLUB
Location: The Cromwell – Center Strip
Opening: March 6th
With an impressive view from its rooftop location, Drai’s Beach Club is back in 2015 but it still hasn’t released a complete lineup. However, DJ Shift, Warren Peace and Luke Shay will be there opening weekend.
TAO BEACH
Location: The Venetian – Center-north Strip
Opening: March 12th
Even though it is not as hot as when it opened, Tao Beach is still pretty popular and has a very lively atmosphere. A full lineup has not been released yet, however, Javier Alba and C*LA have been confirmed for opening weekend.
REHAB
Location: Hard Rock Hotel – East of Strip
Opening: March 14th
The pool party that started it all, and probably the wildest! Rehab will always be a classic, with a decent DJ lineup: 30h!3, Dee Jay Silver, DJ Loczi, Flux Pavilion, Nico & Vinz, Pauly D, Sammy Adams.
Marquee Dayclub at the Cosmopolitan, Ditch Fridays at the Palms, Beach LiFE at the SLS, and a few more still have to release their information for the upcoming season, but don’t worry, we’ll keep you updated with all the happenings.
