We took 7 of the best online travel companies renowned for Vegas flight and hotel package deals. After a thorough examination we extracted the pros, cons and fine print from each one. Now on a mission to find which company compares best this summer!

We selected 5 popular cities that fly to Las Vegas and 4 Las Vegas strip hotels. We also compared booking a flight and hotel separate (separate hotel bookings were direct). Click here for results.

Prices without applying promo codes

According to our data, Bookit.com was the cheapest option in all of the cases if promo codes were not applied. Using southwest was the most expensive option, averaging +19% of bookit.com price. Booking separate can be the lowest price option (case 2), if you’re lucky with finding a very cheap flight last minute.

Overall, prices fluctuate all the time! Our study is to help give insight to the best flight and hotel package deals this summer. There’s a tendency that bookit.com is going to be the cheapest. It offered the best price 4 of 5 times.

According to our study, it was the cheapest option to book hotel + flight without using of promo codes. Service offers time sensitive deals (like 99 hours – half price sale) that may help save some money and get additional free extras if customer comes to their website at the right time.

• 1X100 – $100 off if 7+ nights + Flight is booked.
• 1X50 – $50 off if 5-6 nights + flight is booked
• 1X20 – $20 off if 5+ nights are booked. Must not be all inclusive deal.
• 1X10 – $10 off if 3-4 nights are booked. Must not be all inclusive deal.

The best rated and trusted booking service according to trustpilot.com is the third most expensive option from our study’s data if booked without using of promo codes. Priceline has plenty of special deals for Las Vegas if flight and hotel are booked for a 3 to 5 night duration (http://www.priceline.com/promotions/tourism/las-vegas-nevada.html).

Expedia.com

2^nd cheapest option from our study’s data. Offers “Daily Deals” that allows you to save on  your flight or a 1 night at a hotel price. Good for customers that are flexible on what hotel they stay at.

From time to time a “flash sale” is offered which allows you to save several bucks!

2. Triple Expedia+. Mobile APP users can collect points and redeem for the trip.

1. Coupons & Offers available.
2. Offers trip protection in case plans changed for additional fee.

4. Information about additional fees is clearly visible

Cons of Expedia.com:

1. Misunderstandings with specials offers happens from time to time. Sometimes on package review page additional discounts are offered which is sometimes not applied if customer goes to checkout.
2. Information about free cancellation in 24 hours is confusing. During checkout process TOS declare that tickets are not refundable. However, in the last step of checkout 24 hour free cancellation offer appears.

 

Travelocity.com

3^th cheapest option in our study. However, average price almost equals Expedia. Not a surprise as Travelocity was purchased by Expedia in 2015, so all user interface and deals are more or less the same as in Expedia.

One of the most expensive options if not using promo codes. At the moment SouthWest offers “the best Las Vegas Travel Summer deals”, which allows you to save $60 + up to 30% of the hotel price!

Hotel discounts are subject to change. We noticed that while testing our cases study we only got a $60 fixed discount. It’s possible that discount can be better if other dates are tested.

Booking Separately

Is it possible to get hotel + flight cheaper by booking separately? Booking hotel and flight in a package is normally the cheapest way. In our study booking hotel and flight separate only cost less 1 time out of 5. Total savings in that case $40.

Pros:

1. 72 hours to make a free cancellation
2. Requires less money to be paid instantly. As majority of price must be paid upon arrival to a hotel.
