What’s new in Vegas 2015?

Rock in Rio
Vegas is bringing a bit of Rio de Janeiro to the Sin City streets. The music event of the year, Rock in Rio, is finally happening May 2015. There will be more than 100 performances over two weekends by some of the biggest name in music, including Taylor Swift, Metallica, Bruno Mars, Linkin Park, Ed Sheeran, and many more. Keep an eye on their website, rockinrio.com, for more artist announcements. The City of Rock, a brand new 33-acre venue is being built especially for this event, so be sure to book your tickets early because this is going to be epic.

Linq Hotel Completed
The most luxurious non-luxury property is finally finished and open to the public. This hotel is definitely for the younger crowd, with a complimentary board game in each room and scented shampoo dispensers in the bathroom. You will also have prime access to the new Linq Promenade and High Roller, and experience you won’t want to miss. You can make your reservations now, but keep in mind that the pool is set to open in spring 2015. Rates stay pretty cheap, some starting as low as $50, but keep your eye out for their High Roller view suites—you’ll get some of the best views around.

Omnia Club
Set to take the place of the PURE nightclub at Caesars Palace, Omnia will open for business in spring 2015, transforming some of PURE’s amazing outdoor space into luxurious gardens. The club’s owner is marketing it as the “next generation of luxury nightlife.” They promise to combine uber-opulent décor with interactive features for guests to enjoy as they take advantage of the state-of-the-art technology and hit artists.

Then Venue Las Vegas
The mayor of Las Vegas is excited about this new expansion to the Fremont East District (right next to the Fremont Street Experience) which will give downtown Las Vegas a much-needed events center. Set to open by the end of 2015, the 36,000 square feet of stunning architecture that will be the perfect backdrop for concerts, weddings, and corporate events. The Venue will offer both indoor and outdoor areas, the Virtue and Vice Lounge, restaurants, and billiard lounges. The owners are calling this the “premier event space” for Las Vegas, and they expect it to attract the big names in live entertainment. The Venue will have a very New Orleans French Quarter feel and hopefully give a boost to Fremont Street.

Electric Daisy Carnival, 2015
This year’s carnival is going to blow your mind. Head out to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway with the other 350,000+ attendees—that’s right, prepare to get up close and personal with a lot of people—for three days and nights of nothing but neon. This is the fifth year that the EDC has descended on Vegas, and it is going to be crazier than ever. Dress in your craziest, scantiest costumes and clothes as you rock to non-stop music, explore the food and drink vendors, and experience this light and sound extravaganza. But the partying doesn’t stop at the Speedway. Head over to the hotels for after-hour partying that lasts all night long. Tickets are on sale now for June 19–21. Let the revelry begin.
