Where to See a Comedy Show in Las Vegas

Las Vegas is full of theaters and comedy clubs to host the country’s top comedians as well as future stars on the rise.Ready to laugh? Here are the best places to see a comedy show in Las Vegas. As always, Lavish Vegas has the best tickets for laugh-filled entertainment in Sin City. 

Aces of Comedy

The Mirage

The Mirage Theater hosts some of the biggest names in entertainment as part of its Aces of Comedy series. The likes of Tim Allen, David Spade, Ray Romano, and George Lopez have taken the stage for return engagements in the past — and will likely return in the near future. Right now, the theater is slowly resuming performances with shows by Bill Maher, Tom Segura, Chelsea Handler, Gabriel Iglesias, and Jim Jefferies.  

The Chelsea

The Cosmopolitan

Bill Burr‘s residency at the Cosmopolitan continues to roll on. The Chelsea is best known for concerts, but at 3,200 seats, the theater is still intimate enough to pack in the laughs for a comedy show. 

Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club

MGM Grand

Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club is one of the best places to see a comic on the Strip. It’s a comfortable, well-insulated space with low ceilings to maximize the laughs. The venue continues to host up-and-coming comics from around the country with occasional surprise appearances by big names, including Brad Garret himself.

Delirious

Downtown

Delirious Comedy Club has a loose and easy atmosphere at the Downtown Grand hotel, just one block north of the Fremont Street Experience. Seating is first come, first serve in an intimate showroom with a low stage and vintage chandeliers dangling overhead. There’s a focus on newer comics, but old favorites like Pauly Shore and Jamie Kennedy regularly take the stage.

The Dirty at 12:30

South Point

This is easily the best comedy club in Vegas for night owls. The Dirty at 12:30 takes over the Grandview Lounge inside the South Point casino, presenting raunchy showcases after midnight every Friday. The show is always free with a “pregame party” at 10:30 p.m. offering drink specials. Big names like Joe Rogan and Brand Williams have stopped by for occasional surprise appearances.

The Comedy Cellar

Rio

The Comedy Cellar at the Rio is modeled after the original in New York’s Greenwich Village. With stained-glass windows and an iconic brick wall, the club follows a unique format. A rotating lineup of comedians are invited to perform 10-15 minutes of their best material instead of long sets. 

Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club

The LINQ

Vegas native Jimmy Kimmel opened his own club at The LINQ, modeled after his personal vision of presenting the best place to see a comedian. Custom designed from the ground up, it has stylish lounge and bar on the ground floor with an intimate showroom upstairs. After temporarily closing during the pandemic, the venue could return to action soon in 2022. Check in frequently to see when shows are added

L.A. Comedy Club

The Strat

Located inside the Strat, the L.A. Comedy Club is the top place to get a laugh near the north end of the Strip. The main stage in the Dragon Room welcomes national touring acts nightly with a mix of local, up-and-coming comedians rounding out the schedule.

The Comedy Works

The Plaza

If you’re looking for laughs Downtown, your best bet is the Comedy Works at the Plaza. Located at the west end of the Fremont Street Experience, the club brings in top comedians from around the country with an old-school Vegas-style showroom. Headliners like Chirs Kattan, Jim Florentine and Nick DiPaolo often take the stage.  

Don’t Tell Comedy

Fergusons Downtown

Don’t Tell Comedy is a series of pop-up shows at Fergusons Downtown, an old motel that’s been renovated into a shopping and entertainment space. Comedians perform in the outdoor courtyard while the neighboring Vegas Test Kitchen serves food and drinks.
