Planet Hollywood Review

Although it stays true to the spirit of its name, the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino has much more to offer than just a theme driven by movie memorabilia. Like the best Vegas casinos, this one infuses the glamour of the old (via the location itself, which formerly housed the Aladdin) with glittering new touches that keep it current and competitive.
Las Vegas Travel Guides
Rooms
You’ll get a taste of Hollywood in each room courtesy of the real memorabilia that makes each room unique and gives the hotel its name. Chances are if you love dining at Planet Hollywood restaurants, you’ll hardly want to leave your room. You absolutely should, though, as you’ll find solid options for a good time scattered throughout this sizeable casino.
Restaurants
Before you head to the show, hit the popular Spice Market Buffet, where you’ll find a top-quality feast including prime rib, sushi, dim sum, and even Middle Eastern dishes, all finished off by a delicious dessert selection sure to leave you feeling satisfied. Fancier draws include the saucily decorated Strip House, where you’ll get an eyeful along with your delicious steak – think on other meanings of the word strip, and you’ll have the right idea. Kobe steak and fresh lobster tails are served up daily at Koi, the Vegas outpost of the hip LA hangout. Simpler tastes can be satisfied at the Earl of Sandwich, where that lunchtime classic is served up right with artisan breads and deli meats. Larger parties with wide ranging tastes will find a satisfyingly large selection at Planet Dailies.
Entertainment
With its 7,000 capacity seating, the Theatre for the Performing Arts is a big draw for some of the best musical acts in the business. The great acoustics and cushy seating make for a grand time no matter who’s on stage. If your tastes swing a little saucier, check out Peepshow, starring Mel B. of the Spice Girls and first season Dancing With The Stars winner Kelly Monaco. Housed in the space formerly occupied by STOMP, Peepshow promises a feisty good time with its combination of sultry stripteases and classic burlesque moves.
Shopping & Nightlife
Combining the best of your local mall with added Vegas flair, the Miracle Mile Shops are attached to Planet Hollywood Resort and offer a variety of mid-to-high end stores and a great selection of restaurants. As for nightlife, you can’t go wrong with a glamorous night out at Prive, where you can have a carefree good time whether you want bottle service for your party or simply to dance the night away with a cocktail or two. A more low-key evening can be had at the adjacent Living Roomd, an intimate space featuring cozy seating inviting relaxation, perfect for winding down after a night out.
