Mandalay Bay Review
Mandalay Bay is a gorgeous, rambling resort with a subtle Polynesian theme. The Resort boasts eleven acres of outdoor fun with a tropical water park, many pools, and a bona fide beach. The rooms are luxurious and modern, with every amenity and floor-to-ceiling windows that allow you to view paradise from within.
Attractions
The hotel has something for everyone, from its exquisite spa to the amazing high-end shopping. Visit the Shark Reef, which is teeming with sharks, eels, sea turtles, stingrays, monitor lizards, and alligators. The casino has every conceivable table game, video game, slot machine, a beautiful sports book, and a busy poker room.
Restaurants
Mandalay Bay resort boasts fifteen restaurants and some world-renowned chefs There's Chef Michael Mina's StripSteak and his new Mediterranean restaurant, Oral. Rivea offers a renewed take on French and Italian-influenced cuisine from internationally celebrated Chef Alain Ducasse And one can't forget the classic House of Blues, with its wonderful Southern/Creole/Cajun menu are just a few of the amazing culinary experiences waiting for you!
Bars
Consider visiting the Minus 5, a frozen ice bar that offers more than 200 frozen vodkas and cocktails, either before or after dinner. You can even bring the kids; they can order “mocktails” and enjoy this unusual experience with you. Only in Las Vegas can you surf in the afternoon and enjoy cocktails in an igloo that evening! Imagine stepping out of the three-digit Las Vegas t heat into five degrees below zero! You don’t have to come dressed for it…the bar will provide you with a parka and warm gloves. The vodka may be five below, but you will enjoy a balmy twenty-three-degree temperature (Fahrenheit). Your drink will always stay cold, as it will be poured into a glass carved from ice from pure New Zealand water. The bar, glasses, and all furniture are made of…you guessed it…ice. The ice sculptures (think of the midnight buffet on a cruise ship) are replaced every six to eight weeks.+
Entertainment & Nightlife
For the best Cirque du Soleil entertainment, see MJ ONE. Michael Jackson ONE personifies the magical spirit of Jackson's music with an unbelievable display of acrobatics, combined with some of the most advanced technology on stage. Mandalay Bay has a twelve-thousand-seat arena for special events like boxing matches and concerts, including the WBNA World-Champion Las Vegas Aces! There are also beach-side concerts at Mandalay Beach, the House of Blues, late-night bars, and the fabulous from the top floor at The Foundation room.
