Flamingo Review
The Flamingo Hotel is located in the heart of the Strip, at Flamingo and Las Vegas Blvd. What a corner it is! Bugsy Siegel started it, and his dream came true, with the Flamingo, Caesar's Palace, Bellagio, the Cromwell, and Horsehoe forming the most exciting corner in the world!
The Resort
The rooms vary from older to newer and more modern because of several expansions. They have great views of the strip and are not the long hike you've come to expect in the large Strip hotels. Their "Go Rooms" have all the bells and whistles, including televisions, showers and tubs, and TV sets in the bathrooms. Of course, all the amenities are for your convenience…even including mouthwash. You won't be disappointed in the service; the place is big but well-staffed.
Recreation & Relaxation
If you want to play golf, the Cascata Golf Club is available to guests, and it is breathtaking, with its water falls, rivers, and mountain views. Or perhaps you'd enjoy a day at the Spa, pampering yourself with a massage, aromatherapy, steam or sauna, or the whirlpool tub. Fresh towels, robes, and refreshments abound. There is also a facility to work off your food and drink, and a salon and a barber shop to make you beautiful! And shopping? Mais oui!
The Flamingo is famous for its Wildlife Habitat. From its live flock of Chilean flamingos, to swans, ducks, turtles, and koi, the grounds are magnificently landscaped and tended, with islands, waterfalls, streams, pools, and beautiful tropical foliage that is imported from all over the world.
For an adult alternative there is the GO Pool, which is contemporary, extravagantly luxurious, and boasts a DJ, private cabanas, food and drinks, and VIP service…everything from iced towels, frozen fruits, and plasma TV!
Restaurants
The casino has all the action you could ask for, and dining is varied, from grills, coffee shops, and buffets to Carlos and Charlie's and the Beach Club Bar and Grill. New to the Flamingo cornucopia of delicacies is Pinky's by Vanderpump and Bugsy and Meyer's Steakhouse, a one-of-a-kind restaurant hearkening to the Flamingo Las Vegas’ old-school roots.
Entertainment
Piff the Magic Dragon delights guests with his critically acclaimed magic, while X Burlesque brings adult fantasies to the Las Vegas stage. RuPaul's Drag Race Live! sashays its way onto the Vegas Strip with an original production based on the hit TV show. Still, no Las Vegas trip would be complete without a visit with Mr. Las Vegas himself, Wayne Newton as he performs his favorite songs from his storied career.
