Plan Your Stay At Tropicana
The Tropicana Resort, built in 1957, has almost completed its $180 million transformation . By April of 2011, it will be complete, with the opening of its Nikki Beach Club…just in time for the balmy weather of the spring season. Always known for its beautifully lush, tropical pool with the poolside bar, it has surpassed itself with this new beach club experience.
Las Vegas Travel Guides
Four acres of tropical landscape will now house waterfalls, palms, pool and garden, swim-up black jack, unique shopping, sandy beach, sand volley ball, and a beach club. Nikki Beach will have both an outdoor café/bar and a restaurant. There will be a private island in the middle of the pool, as well as outdoor concert space. Luxurious cabanas and a state of the art fitness center will complete this paradise!
The Tropicana can now boast brand new deluxe rooms with premium amenities. Every room has high end linens and mattresses, custom furnishings, beautiful views, original art work and electronic safes that are large enough to put a laptop in. The suites have even more! Bathrooms are standard, but new, and have the usual amenities.
There is plenty going on in the way of entertainment here. The New Home for Comedy in Las Vegas is just what it says it is. Brad Garrett founded the club, and it features both known stand-up comedians and wannabes. He drops in now and then, but it is usually without warning.
Recycled Percussion, which was on of the finalists on America Has
Talent, is a less costly
Blue Man Group kind of show. Yesterday
Beatles Tribute plays in the Tiffany Theater. And Sideswipe is an
afternoon show featuring acrobatics and martial arts.
The big excitement here is the Las Vegas Mob Experience. There is a free preview center that is open from 10am to 10 pm that will tell you more about what to expect in the near future. The show will use interactive entertainment technology to let you experience the history of organized crime in Sin City. It will be a theatrical setting complete with apparitions of the famous gangsters, mystery, suspense, and intrigue. I can’t wait to experience it myself!
The casino is rumored to be very player friendly, has a nice poker room, and a new splendid sports book. The Ambhar Lounge is right off the casino and offers both DJS and live bands, along with drink specials and dancing.
Biscayne is a steakhouse with island ambiance that also serves fresh fish. If you are in the mood for Italian, try Bacio, for old world cooking. The newest restaurant is Café Nikki, which will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. They serve dishes from their locations all over the world.
